Robert Kocik's solar/lunar/planetary calendar allows accurate tracking of day, month, moon phase, sunrise, sunset, equinox, solstice, visible planets, eclipses, celestial conjunctions, planet oppositions, major meteor showers, daylight saving times, and the dates of new year's day in other calendar systems. The text portion of the calendar includes a brief description of our (Gregorian) calendar with regard to the complexity of interrelating the irregular and incommensurable rotations of celestial bodies, symbol keys, and a poem by Bay Area poet Susan Gevirtz. The calendar is also an open design for the marking of events, personal planning (interactions with and within the solar system), or diaristic notations, if one so wishes.
